What is Referencing

 

Referencing is a practice of acknowledging other peoples works, ideas, sources used in a paper, assignment, report and conference papers in academic writing.

Turnitin

Turnitin is an internet based tool used to check and detect plagiarism in an essay or any kind of academic related document. Its a licensed based software which universities and school obtain through subscription.

 

Havard Referencing Style

Harvard referencing system is the most common style of referencing used in most fields including Nursing.

This guides in the box above provide examples of how a wide range of information sources should be referenced according to Harvard style, including the order of the elements and punctuation used.  Also the examples of how to cite within the text and how to write your list of references.
