Paediatrics and Paediatric Surgery: Journals

What is a journal?

A journal is a scholarly publication containing articles written by researchers, academics and other experts. Journals focus on a specific discipline or field of study.

UKZN Library has a range of journals in print as well as online.

Many academic journals are not freely available via search facilities such as Google, libraries pay for access, thus you need to go to the Library's website to access journals.

Google Scholar is an international index to scholarly literature but does not have the rights to make full text freely available. If UKZN subscribes to an article, click on its title to get to the full text.

Finding eJournals

  • From the Electronic resources page option on the Library Website click on e-Journals A-Z.
  • If the journal is available online, access details will be provided showing where the journal appears and the time coverage.
