'MY LIBRARY ACCOUNT"
The Library Account was created to offer you greater online access to library materials whether held by UKZN LIBRARY or not. The library account works in conjunction with the iCatalogue which allows you to search UKZN LIBRARY's collections as well as literature found worldwide or you can use it to create a request by filling in the form provided in your account. Below you will find simple guides on the creation of your account and thereafter how to engage with your account.
WHY DO YOU NEED A 'LIBRARY ACCOUNT"
- You will have a record of all the items you borrow from the library.
- You will be able to remotely renew / extend the loan period of the items you have borrowed.
- You will be able to request items found in other UKZN libraries by using the iCatalogue link.
- You will be able to use the InterLibrary Loan facility to borrow items not found in UKZN libraries by either using the iCatalogue link or filling in the form in the account site.
- View your library bills / fines should you have to any to pay.
