General bookstock
Printed books in the library are arranged on the shelves by number (Dewey system). Generally, books on anaesthesiology can be found at the numbers 615.781 and 617.96 but may be found at other numbers depending on the aspect of the subject. Consult the iLink catalogue for the exact location of a book.
Academic Reserves
Copies of prescribed and recommended books may be kept in the Academic Reserves section of the library. Such books must be used in the library during the day and can only be borrowed overnight or for weekends.
The Library's iLink catalogue will indicate what books, journals, audiovisual and other materials are housed within the UKZN libraries and whereabouts. The catalogue is searchable by author, title, subject, keyword, journal title and ISBN.
