UKZN online library training 2024: Home

These zoom sessions will focus on training postgraduates and undergraduates in the use of library resources as well as referencing and Endnote.

Welcome to our Training LibGuide.

Most of our training Includes sessions on the library catalogue, how to set up a My Library Account, Ebooks, several databases, literature review, search strategies, plagiarism, Turnitin and Grammarly, SPSS basics, Endnote basics and more!

All training is via ZOOM 

Off campus access

If you are attending sessions from off campus make sure you have Global Protect installed.  ALL USERS USING THE UKZN WIRELESS NETWORK MUST HAVE GLOBAL PROTECT INSTALLED

From the library's home page either:

  • scroll down to the blue box of links on the page and from the middle column called ONLINE RESOURCES click on DATABASES. This will take you straight to the off campus page list beginning with the icatalogue.
  • From the RESOURCES tab on the black toolbar, choose the last option from the drop down menu: OFF CAMPUS ACCESS.

You must be registered and have a UKZN lan login to authenticate yourself for off campus access.

Please contact UKZN Computer Services (ICS) for problems with your LAN username and password, email problems, connectivity issues, etc.

You need to use your student card to swipe yourself into the libraries.
