Geography: FigShare/Yabelana

FigShare is an online open access repository where researchers can preserve and share their research outputs, including figures, datasets, images, and videos. It is free to upload content and free to access, in adherence to the principle of open data. At UKZN the we have, Yabelana which is a data repository of the University of KwaZulu-Natal which was developed to preserve, manage and share research data. Researchers can contact their respective Subject Librarians for further details, or view the LibGuide for Yabelana.

Google Analytics show that there were 60 Views and 25 Searches. The investigation of Yabelana as an Institutional Repository (IR), is ongoing, the Library will do a test in the second quarter of this year, and efforts are in place to market this platform. We would like to have many of UKZN Researchers participating and sharing their research on Yabelana.
