What is a journal

A journal is a scholarly publication containing articles written by researchers, professors and other experts. Journals focus on a specific discipline or field of study. Some of the key journals for Psychology are :

Whilst the emphasis is on empirical research, the journal also accepts theoretical and methodological papers, review articles, short communications, book reviews, and letters commenting on articles published in the journal. Priority is given to articles relevant to Africa and that address psychological issues of social change and development.

Our e-Journals are available to registered UKZN students and staff from the library website.

From the Library website click on Resources, then Databases, then Databases A-Z, or choose Journals from the options on the library website page (under the Journals tab you can also use the Click to access the eJournals A-Z List.
Type in the title of the journal.
If the journal is available online, access details will be provided showing where the journal appears and the time coverage.

InterLibrary Loans
