Where are we?
Psychology is taught on the Pietermaritzburg and Howard College. Each campus has a physical library where relevant books, journals, theses and other resources can be located. Online access is available on and off campus to a wide range of resources.
For off campus access you will need to authenticate yourself first with your university lan login and password. Not all databases provide off campus access. It is best to access the University site via Firefox.
Libraries are open 24 / 7.
Closed daily 12 pm - 1pm for sanitising
Most staff continue working remotely and business communication will continue as per lockdown regulations. Librarians remain available to provide virtual support for teaching, learning and research.
Browsing of the collections will now be allowed, however, a book retrieval service is offered. Users may submit requests for circulating material. Books may be returned to the Issue Desks or Book drop boxes. Users who do not have permission to access campuses are requested to keep the items until campuses re-open. All items on loan will be renewed and library fines for overdue material will be waived.
