Provides information and links on all aspects of the research process

Why Endnote

UKZN has a license agreement to the desktop version of Endnote. All registered members of staff and students can download Endnote from the software repository library.

Registered students and staff may load the software to their personal laptops.

What is Endnote

EndNote is a software program that:

  • Creates, stores and manages your references/citations.
  • Saves your selected references/citations from online resources (e.g. library databases and Google Scholar) for you to  export them into your EndNote library.
  • Inserts references/citations from your EndNote Desktop library into your Microsoft Word document, and automatically creates a bibliography, so you do not have to manually do so yourself. Bibliographies are created in your chosen referencing style (e.g. APA 7th ed., Harvard, IEEE, Vancouver, Chicago, etc.)
